If you’ve read our “Healthy Hot Spots to Go to in Macau”, and you’re still looking for more – we have deep dived into the healthy drinking side for you too. From freshly blended and squeezed nuts as plant-based mylk, to cold pressed soybeans for a healthier alternative of protein drink and fresh fruit juices and smoothies. Here are our top 5 favorites that you can find in Macau.
If you’re a cat person and you love lemons, you’ll enjoy this one. “When life gives you lemons, make lemon tea” is Afu Darling’s motto. But who is Afu Darling? This store is named after the owner’s cat to help support local cat charity. The money used to pay extra dollars for the plastic bag policy are used to buy food or given as donations for stray cats.
Swing by here (literally – as they have a swing by the entrance) and you’ll be welcomed by the sensational lemon scent as they pound and crush these zesty and fresh fruit. While you wait, get the chance to update your Instagram feed as you’ll feel like you’re entering a garden with a waiting area full of cat pillows of the actual cats of the owner! (yes, he has more than one cat).
We recommend their Wheatgrass Lemonade and Kanten (refer to the featured photo above). Kanten is also known as “agar” that is derived from seaweed. It is a type of jelly that is wobbly, soft, with a gelatin-like but slightly firm and rather brittle mouthfeel texture. It is also suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
We enjoy having these drinks during a hot sunny day and we’ll definitely come back here to give their other interesting lemon drink mix a try such as Salty Lemon Tea, yakult and pink guava.

Grab a taste of Taiwan as Nut Milk Tea has finally landed in Macau. A tea store specializing in drinks made with their own vegan nut milk and nut cream. Their all-plant based cream is made of five blends of nuts – almonds, cashews, macadamia, walnuts, and hazelnuts. While their vegan milk is made out of three.
We recommend their Ruby Black Tea with Nut Cream from Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan. The Ruby black tea is one of the most unique black teas out there. This ruby cultivar has a unique flavor profile of cinnamon and eucalyptus.
Another recommendation is their Earl Grey tea with Chocolate Nut Cream. Dusted with a lavish amount of 100% pure cocoa powder on top. This beverage has won the 2019 Taiwan Milk Tea Festival Gold Award. After drinking it, you’ll understand why it did. It has both worlds of being this rich and thick yet light, refreshing and drinkable beverage. The combination of luscious chocolate, fragrant Earl grey and nut cream blend together so well! If you’re a chocolate lover, you’d definitely want to go for this one. It comes along with a mini shovel spoon and it is suggested to drink it 45 degrees to experience the hazelnut cream richness first before digging in.
You can also preorder their 1000ml bottle of freshly made nut mylk on the spot (where it is advised to drink it within 5 days only to enjoy its freshness). You’ll also find this amazing brand in Hong Kong, Osaka Japan, United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.
Richa Macau is another health conscious tea store where they introduce an array of unique drinks like their Grape Smoothie – you’ll love to savor this chilled drink on a hot day because your taste buds won’t stop thanking you. And we also love the fact that they use fresh melons in their Melon Smoothie since they are so watery and juicy, making them great for hydration. This honeydew smoothie will definitely quench your thirst and cool you down for sure. We like getting both smoothies with layered yogurt filling. Another alluring drink here is their Blue Velvet Coconut Milk. It’s blue color comes from natural seaweed extract that gives an eye pleasing appeal. They do free deliveries in Macau side for orders over MOP $100 and to Taipa or Coloane side for over MOP $200.

This tofu magician will definitely cast a spell on you to fall in love with their soy milk and bean curd-based drinks. Surprisingly being the highest protein out of all alternative milk options, they are also known for their freshly grounded soybeans sourced from Canada. The beans are soaked overnight every day before opening to ensure the highest quality of freshness being delivered and prepared for the next day.
This is Macau’s very first Tofu Magician you’ll ever meet, the one and only branch situated in the heart of Macau where you can get your hands on their signature soy cream and black sesame drinks with sticky rice bites. It is served with a dash of toasted rice flour on top where you then dip in the sticky rice to have a mouthful of both textures of chewy and creaminess from snack to drink. Another good try here is their Soy Bean Curd Pudding (also known as “dau fu fa”) with a sprinkle of golden sugar. It is a local favorite and craze. With a limit of only 300 servings, people come here to line up already before their 12pm opening. They’ve also got their very own soy milk soft serve ice cream.

A hidden gem found in the older streets of the inner part of San Malo neighbourhood. While exploring here, we like to grab a quick drink of their Balsamic Mocktail – we’ve tried their Balsamic Fig Mocktail. And we would never thought this combination would exist and so we came down here to try!
With just a touch of balsamic vinegar in tonic soda, it makes it a tart yet fruity beverage. A definite pop of unexpected flavor. The robust, concentrated flavor of balsamic works wonderfully with the sweet and honey-like flavor of fig. Paired with the tartness and health benefits of apple cider vinegar, it comes together as a pleasing combination. It is said that balsamic helps improve skin health, promote healthy digestion, and relieves fatigue. They’ve also got Forest Raspberry or Calamansi version too. If you’re more of a coffee type – they also got a choice of their Espressoda drinks (white peach/ black currant/ salt caramel).
While grabbing a quick drink here, we like looking for artisan and vintage gifts for friends and family of classic taste. This store does vintage trades of home decor and designer brands. You can also find Loom Loop’s fashion pieces here too. If you’re looking for some authentic Portuguese products such as honey and wine, they have it here as well. This unique store also supports small businesses such as Aki Ceramic. Our favorite piece here was her Koala series where part of the proceeds were donated to the Australia Koala Hospital from the Bushfire.
After any purchase of home decor and artisan gift, you can get a free drink on your next visit.
